Markforged 3D Printing
The Ultimaker 3D printer allows for larger parts, at an efficient printing speed. Our UltiMaker S5 comes equipped with a material handler to allow for automatic and efficient material swapping while printing. Materials are kept in a humidity-controlled cabinet so there is less chance of a print being spoiled by bad material. These printers allow us to produce high-volume parts very quickly, while using cheaper materials, allowing us to reduce our costs to customers. One of the benefits of the UltiMaker 3D printers is the capability to use the “Tree” support function, which minimizes the amount of material needed to support overhangs. The “Tree” support creates branches that grow around your 3D model and can result in a faster print time and reduces scarring of the model.
S2+: Build Volume of 8.7 x 8.6 x 8 in.
S5: Build Volume of 13.0 x 9.4 x 11.8 in.
We utilize our Markforged 3D printers for a wide variety of things. We have produced parts for some of our robotics such as jaws to pick up parts as well as tools for our robotic press brake. With our Markforged 3D printers we can produce high-quality 3D printed parts that can be reinforced with fiberglass or carbon fiber. We primarily print with Markforged’s ONYX material, which is nylon mixed with chopped carbon fiber. We also print with Nylon and ABS as well. 3D printing can provide an easy cost-effective method of prototyping jigs for other processes in manufacturing, as well as vises and tool holders on a shop floor. Build Volumes for the Markforged 3D printers are 12.6 x 5.2 x 6.1 in.
